Prelab question number 2

A little solution stoichiometry is needed to complete this problem.

For any stoichiometry problem you need to begin with the equation and in the case of KHP and NaOH there is a 1 to 1 mole ratio in the reaction of both. Therefore, when the number of moles of KHP is known when reacting an unknown NaOH you can calculate the unknown.

1 mol KHP

204.27g KHP

1mol NaOH

1 mol KHP

1000 mL

0.1000 mol NaOH

1.04 g

1mL

h grams of  NaOH

0.0250g KHP
